Who hates vacant units? I must admit that I hate vacant units. Vacant units do not make any money for the owner. Plus, it opens the door for criminals to vandalize the property knowing that is vacant. In retail, we were always taught to plug the hole, so the customer does not see the back of the shelf. Also, there is a better chance to sell the product if it is one the shelf. The same goes for vacant rental units. It should take an average of 5 to 8 business days to turn a unit in my opinion. Many professionals fail due to planning and execution in my expertise opinion.
